These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Tiller iOS application ("the App", "Tiller"), operated by Zachariah Simons, an individual sole trader based in the United Kingdom. By downloading or using Tiller you agree to these Terms.
You are granted a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use Tiller on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. This licence does not allow you to use Tiller on any device that you do not own or control, or to distribute or make Tiller available over a network.
Refunds are handled by Apple. You can request a refund through reportaproblem.apple.com. We do not have the ability to issue refunds directly.
You agree not to:
Canal and waterway navigation involves risks, including changes in water levels, weather, lock and bridge availability, mooring restrictions, and other hazards. Tiller's data is compiled from public and crowdsourced sources and may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. You are solely responsible for your own safety and decisions on the water. Tiller is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall Zachariah Simons be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of or in connection with your use of Tiller. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
Tiller uses Apple MapKit, OpenFreeMap and Esri for map-related features, GitHub for downloadable map packs, Open-Meteo and RainViewer for weather-related features, RevenueCat for subscription state, and Cloudflare-hosted services for supported online features. Use of third-party services is governed by their applicable terms.
We may update the App and these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Tiller after Terms are updated constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. The "last updated" date above will reflect the most recent revision.
You may stop using Tiller at any time by deleting the App. We may suspend access if you breach these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
